Let Me Love You è la sesta traccia del terzo album in studio di Ariana Grande, Dangerous Woman. Il brano vede la partecipazione del rapper Lil Wayne. È il secondo singolo promozionale dell'album.

Il 6 gennaio 2016, Ariana ha pubblicato un'immagine su Snapchat con la lista delle canzoni su una lavagnetta, in parte cancellata. Si potevano leggere solo le lettere LM, e i fan hanno immaginato che si trattasse di un acronimo o un'abbreviazione. Nella preordinazione dell'album Dangerous Woman, disponibile dall'11 marzo 2016, Let Me Love You è una delle tracce confermate. Questo dimostra che le lettere che si leggevano sulla lavagnetta riguardavano questa canzone.

Lil Wayne è uno dei quattro collaboratori di questo album. Ariana non ha ancora lavorato con lui prima d'ora.

L'11 marzo 2016, Ariana ha detto in un'intervista al Ryan Seacrest che questa è stata la prima canzone registrata per Dangerous Woman.

Il 15 marzo 2016, in un'intervista, la cantante ha definito questa canzone "una delle sue preferite dell'album". Ha poi aggiunto che è lenta, sexy e scura.

Il 18 marzo 2016, Ariana e alcuni dei suoi ballerini hanno tenuto un livestream su Twitter, dove Ariana ha fatto sentire il primo minuto della canzone.

Il 28 marzo 2016, Ariana ha pubblicato diversi snapchat delle stesse anteprime che aveva condiviso nel livestream precedente, insieme a una nuova anteprima.

Il 17 aprile 2016, Ariana ha inizialmente pubblicato la canzone in tre paesi. Il giorno dopo è stata pubblicata ufficialmente in tutto il mondo.
