"NASA" è il terzo brano del quinto album in studio di Ariana Grande, Thank U, Next.[2] È stato pubblicato l'8 febbraio 2019 tramite Republic Records.
Una versione dal vivo della canzone è presente in K Bye For Now (SWT Live), che è stato pubblicato il 23 dicembre 2019.
Panoramica[]
La canzone è stata rivelata per la prima volta nel video musicale di "Breathin", singolo di Ariana estratto dal suo quarto album in studio, Sweetener.[3]
Quando è stato chiesto ad Ariana se la canzone parlasse di spazio, lei ha risposto "kind of".[4]
La canzone tratta essenzialmente di volere spazio da una persona e di cercare di essere stabile da solo. La traccia presenta un'introduzione vocale con la voce della drag queen americana Shangela.[5] Grande ha incontrato Shangela quando lei ha inviato un messaggio a Frankie di venire in studio e Shangela era con lui, quindi Ariana ha suonato alcune canzoni dell'album tra cui "NASA":
