"Adore" is a song by Cashmere Cat that features vocals from Ariana Grande. He first played the song at the opening night of The Honeymoon Tour in Independence. It was released as a digital download on iTunes on March 3, 2015[1]. It was released through Universal Records.
Background
Prior to making this song, Cashmere Cat had collaborated on "Be My Baby", a track for Grande's sophomore album, My Everything. On January 23, Grande unveiled the new collaboration, saying that she was working on a new song for Cashmere Cat's album earlier that day.[2] Later, on February 28, Cashmere Cat announced that he made a song with Grande, among other artists.[3] After the song was released, Grande performed it during the Cashmere Cat's opening act during The Honeymoon Tour before her performance.
Trivia
- The original album artwork has been lost, with Spotify only showing a plain black square without the two swans like on iTunes.
- This song contains a sample from Masters at Work's "The Ha Dance" and Johnny Gill's "My My My".
