Lyrics Edit

[Intro: Victoria Monét with Ariana Grande]
Mmmm-mmmm
Ah, yeah, yeah

[Verse 1: Victoria Monét]
Baby, there's a war right outside our window
Don't you hear the people fighting for their lives?
Baby, there's a war right outside our window
But it's gon' be alright

[Pre-Chorus: Victoria Monét with Ariana Grande]
'Long as I got you with me
In your arms, I find my shelter
Deep in your love, I will hide
Baby, you and me, stop the world when we're together
You find a way to take my mind

[Chorus: Ariana Grande with Victoria Monét]
Hoping for better days, better days
(Days when things were better)
Hoping for better days, better days
(Need some better days)
Hoping for better days, better days
(Days when things were better)
Hoping for better days, better days
(Need some better days)

[Verse 2: Victoria Monét]
I can hear the sirens right outside our window
And I can hear the children crying while their mothers cry
I'm praying for the people right outside our window
Hoping they find peace at night

[Pre-Chorus: Victoria Monét with Ariana Grande]
Just like you with me
In your arms, I find my shelter
Deep in your love, I will hide
Baby, you and me, stop the world when we're together
You find a way to take my mind

[Chorus: Ariana Grande with Victoria Monét]
Hoping for better days, better days
(Days when things were better)
Hoping for better days, better days
(Need some better days)
Hoping for better days, better days
(Days when things were better)
Hoping for better days, better days
(Need some better days)

[Bridge: Ariana Grande]
So how we gonna stop the violence, stop the hurting?
Stop the hatred, stop the murders
We're all human, that's for certain
Come together, we deserve it
What kind of life will our babies have if we don't change up and make it last?
It starts right here, starts right now
We'll love and hope for…

[Chorus: Ariana Grande with Victoria Monét, Ariana Grande, Victoria Monét]
Better days (Better days), better days (Better days)
(Days when things were better)
Hoping for (Hoping for) better days, better days (Oh)
(Need some better days) (Need some better days)
Hoping for better days (Hoping for some better days), better days (Ooh, days)
(Days when things were better) (Days when things were better)
Hoping for (Hoping for) better days, better days (Hoping for)
(Need some better days) (Need some better days)

[Outro: Victoria Monét with Ariana Grande]
Hey
Better days
Oh, yeah
Better
Oh, hey
