Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter (born September 4, 1981) is an American singer, actress, songwriter, record producer, director, model, dancer, fashion designer and businesswoman. She is the most awarded artist alive (the third in history) and one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Ariana Grande is a fan of Beyoncé and they are closely tied in the music industry.

- A scrapped Beyoncé demo titled "Wake Up" from her eponymous fifth studio album was sold to Grande, to which it was retitled "R.E.M" and became a prevalent song from Grande's fourth studio album, Sweetener.[1]
- During Grande's 2019 Coachella performance, an unidentified assailant in the crowd threw a lemon at Grande. This was due to speculation that Ariana had been paid double the amount of money for the performance than Beyoncé had when she headlined the previous year, which was false and quickly debunked.[2]
- The lemon thrown represented the sixth studio album of Knowles-Carter's discography, "Lemonade", of which since lemons have been used as a symbol, a flag, an icon, a way to show their support of Beyoncé and her work.
