Which Ariana Grande album is your favourite? Yours Truly, My Everything or Dangerous Woman?
Hmm... My favorite would have to be Yours Truly. I feel like it was just so special and I love that era!!
Yours Truly (even though Dangerous Woman is a very close second). It's the most cohesive of the three, and I believe it has the best music - Honeymoon Avenue is one of the best crafted R&B songs I've heard in years. And don't get me started on the beauty of Tattooed Heart. So yeah.
(This opinion set was brought to you by the Monstercat family.)
In my opinion:
1. Dangerous Woman - Manages to incorporate various genres and remain cohesive unlike its predecessor, all tracks fit in with the album and there are no tracks which could be considered filler.
2. My Everything - Incorporates many genres, although it can be incohesive at times. Lyrics are better and slightly more mature. This album is when people started taking Ariana seriously as an artist.
3. Yours Truly - Brilliant, but lacks variety in terms of genre. Some tracks are clearly filler ("Almost Is Never Enough" and "Popular Song"). Lyrics lack maturity.
I'd say that My Everything is my favourite since it showcases Ariana's style perfectly and all the songs tied together. Dangerous Woman is a close second since I was intrigued by Ariana's range of genres. I can also relate to this album more since there are a few songs on DW that I can relate to events that are going on IRL. Yours Truly is probably my least favourite because it lacks something. Songs like You'll Never Know, Piano, Lovin' It and Better Left Unsaid gets old after a while.
Dangerous Woman. That's when I became a true Arianator. At first I just listened to her music and watched her act.
My Everything tbh. it may not be as cohesive, but it served some of my favorite songs ever. like i'll never be able to explain how great be my baby, one last time and love me harder are (also honorable mentions to only 1, you don't know me, break your heart right back and why try). and those songs > my faves from other ari albums (if she released an ep of only those songs it'd be excellent lol). the production was so dreamy and it fits her so well. it was cool to see her make an album with benny b, ryan t, cashmere, zedd, david g and i miss that! other than producers, i was feeling the collabs (exclude bang bang). i loved her experimenting with genres (and always will): the retro pop in problem, r&b in only 1 (ahh her r&b songs), edm in break free and her unique pop sound in one last time. so yeah, don't really get all the hate for this album in the standom, because it is some of her most beautiful work. only flaw is how it's uncohesive, but that's not bugging me that much cause she's yet to make a really really cohesive album. can't wait to see if she'll top it with A4
