Demitria Devonne "Demi" Lovato[1] (born August 20, 1992) is an American singer-songwriter, musician and actress. She is one of Ariana Grande's good friends. Ariana first tweeted that Demi sounded "amazing" on her single "Heart Attack."[2] Shortly after, Ariana's older brother Frankie Grande created a mash-up of Demi's and Ariana's singles "Heart Attack" and "The Way". After hearing the mash-up, Demi tweeted that she "loved it" and hinted that she wanted to collaborate with Ariana.[3] In an interview with in July 2013, Demi said that a collaboration with Ariana is in the works, which is titled "Direct Contact". The song was supposed to be featured on Grande's debut album, Yours Truly but wasn't.[4]
