"God Is A Woman" is the fifth track on Ariana Grande's upcoming fourth studio album, Sweetener. It will be released on July 20, 2018, as the second single from the album.[1]
Background

The track was first teased in a scene in the "No Tears Left To Cry" music video which displayed what appears to be the entire track list for Grande's upcoming album, although not in order. She confirmed it on The Tonight Show Staring Jimmy Fallon on May 1, 2018.[3]
In an interview with TIME, the song was described as "an anthemic, sultry banger". It was revealed that "Grande’s voice is layered so that it sounds like a choir, but really, it’s only her, multiplied".[4] On June 25, 2018, Grande said that the song is about "sexual female empowerment & how women are literally everything & the universe is inside of us".[5]
