The "Hypernova" (stylized in all lowercase) collection by Ariana Grande was released on February 8, 2024.

A hypernova is an exploding star that produces even more energy and light than a supernova, 40 times more massive than the sun.

On January 29, 2024 a teaser was posted via Instagram by R.E.M.Beauty showing a polaroid picture of new products. The following day another picture was shown of the products. On January 31, 2024 a tiktok showing the blushes was posted by R.E.M.Beauty.^[1] On February 1, 2024 you could sign up in the Instagram story of R.E.M.Beauty for early access of the collection and a first look at the upcomming products was given with the caption "coming soon... 🪐🤎🍓🍑 🎆🎇🌌".^[2] The release date was published.^[3] Another tiktok was posted saying "landing “soon”... guess what’s coming in the comments ♡".^[4] On February 2, 2024 R.E.M.Beauty posted about the collection and showed part of the photoshoot.^[5] The same day, Ariana made a post about the release and showed another part of the photoshoot saying in the caption "so excited to finally share our @r.e.m.beauty hypernova satin matte blush and bronzers with you! available on 2.8 in 8 new powder blush shades and 6 matte bronzers on rembeauty.com."^[6] On tiktok another part of the photoshoot was posted by R.E.M.Beauty and the upcomming product were listed down in the caption "landing 2.8 🎆🪐🤎 get swept away with vibrant, lightweight color to a place where color transcends and warmth radiates from within featuring:✧ 8 new powder blush shades✧ 6 new matte bronzer shades✧ mist thing setting spray✧ b1 blush brush✧ b2 bronzer brush."^[7]
