James Thomas "Jimmy" Fallon is an American comedian, television host, actor, singer, writer, and producer. He is known for his work in television as a former cast member on Saturday Night Live and as the host of late-night talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Television

After leaving Saturday Night Live, Fallon took over as host of Late Night in 2009 and later left to become the host of The Tonight Show.

2013

The first time Grande appeared on Late Night was in June 2013 to perform her debut single "The Way" along with Mac Miller who is featured on the song.^[1]

In September 2013, Grande appeared again to promote the release of her debut album, Yours Truly. She performed "Broadway covers" of hip-hop songs with Jimmy including "99 Problems", "Insane in the Brain", and "Thrift Shop".^[2]

Ariana performed her song "Last Christmas" on Thanksgiving Day 2013.^[3]

2015

Grande appeared on the special Super Bowl episode of The Tonight Show to perform her song "One Last Time" for the first time live in February 2015.^[4] She also appeared in an a cappella cover of "We Are The Champions" with many other celebrities.^[5]

In March 2015, Grande appeared with Fallon in a sketch called "Ew!", where they act like bratty pre-teen girls.^[6] She also sat down to talk with him (making it her first talk show interview) and did an impression of Céline Dion.^[7]

In September 2015, Grande came to The Tonight Show to promote her debut fragrance ARI by Ariana Grande and also revealed the name of her new single ("Focus") along with its release date. Grande also played a game called "Wheel of Musical Impressions" where they had to sing a song in the voice of a randomly selected music artist.^[8]^[9]

2016

In April 2016, Grande came to The Tonight Show to promote her album Dangerous Woman. She also brought her dog Toulouse and her whole family.^[10] Grande and Fallon did a sketch called "Lip Sync Conversation" where all of their conversations are lip-synced to pop songs.^[11] She also performed her lead single "Dangerous Woman" as the last act of the show.^[12] In July 2016, Grande made a cameo appearance on The Tonight Show in a Snapchat video with Jimmy Fallon.^[13]

On September 2016, Grande appeared on The Tonight Show once again, where she promoted her third fragrance Sweet Like Candy. Grande and Jimmy played the "Best Friend Challenge" to test how well they know each other.^[14] She also performed her third single off Dangerous Woman, "Side To Side" as the last act of the show.^[15]

2018

On April 25, 2018, Grande appeared on The Tonight Show for the entire May 1 episode, including a performance of "No Tears Left To Cry", the lead single from her album, Sweetener.^[16]
