Kristin Dawn Chenoweth (born July 24, 1968) is an American singer and actress. She originated the role of Glinda Upland in the musical Wicked.
She and Ariana Grande both starred in Hairspray Live! in 2016, and Grande is featured on the song "You Don't Own Me" from Chenoweth's sixth studio album, For The Girls.

Relationship with Ariana[]
- Grande first met Chenoweth when she was a child and went to see Wicked on Broadway.
- Grande revealed in the Thank U, Next interview on the Zach Sang Show that on the same occasion, Chenoweth gifted the glittery shampoo that she "never wanted to run out."[1]
- Grande also, in the same interview, jokingly stated that being friends with Kristin was the "coolest thing" she has ever accomplished, even after just having two #1 singles, "Thank U, Next" and "7 Rings."
- Grande and Chenoweth also text each other regularly.
- Grande wished her a happy birthday posting "happy birthday to the actual queen of my heart i love you more than words can express @tchenoweth thank you for blessing this earth with your presence, your funny, your voice, your kindness, your you !!!!!!"[2]
- During Season 21 of The Voice, Grande invited Chenoweth as her guest judge during the coaching sessions.

- When it was announced that Grande was playing Glinda in the film adaptation of Wicked, Chenoweth said Grande "was born to play her".
- Grande gifted Chenoweth a pair of bright pink sparkly boots.
