Lyrics[]
[Verse 1]
Starting with the impossible
Being human there is lots to know
We're not so far from animals
'Morals fall just like Jeronimo
Being strong enough to save yourself
Is being strong to save somebody else
Your responsibility is not to bail
Forget that you're the son of Jor-El
The real story is hard enough to tell
It's hard enough for glaciers not to melt
Prepare yourself for what you never felt
[Pre-Chorus]
Flying high above
For something higher than us
Doing it just because
Knowing it is tough
[Chorus]
You're the man of steel
With hands that heal
No plans to kneel or bow down
You just fly high, sky high
Sky high
[Verse 2]
On your chest is your badge of honor
You place your doubts on your shoulders and let them roll
Even when hurt or harm was upon you
Your strong hands held onto hope and never let it go
How do you take on others burdens?
The curtains close on my young ego
What do you do this for?
We'll never know
[Pre-Chorus]
Flying high above
For something higher than us
Doing it just because
It'll never be enough
[Chorus]
With hands that could heal
Hands that could kill
The man of steel, the man of steel, the man of steel
Stee-, stee-, stee-, stee-, stee-, stee-, stee-
[Breakdown: Pharrell Williams]
Work, work, work
Woah-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh (Work, work, work, work)
Work, work, work
Woah-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh (Work, work, work, work)
Work, work, work
Woah-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh (Work, work, work, work)
The lion of the den
The man of many men
Someone somewhere needs you right now
You're always looking up, never down, down
See the greatness in a some hell
Woah-oh, woah-oh
Bum, bum, bum, bum, oh
