Background

It was first seen in 2014 on songwriting registries naming Grande as both a writer and performer. It is unclear whether the song was supposed to be on Grande's debut album Yours Truly, or sophomore album My Everything. The song was ultimately sold to American recording artist Skylar Stecker and included on her debut studio album, This Is Me.
