RuPaul's Drag Race (also known as RPDR) is an American Drag competition-reality TV show created by RuPaul. The show highlights the amazing and diverse world of drag culture as well as queer identity. It has over 14 season, the 15th season premiered on January 6, 2023. The show counts over 191 episodes and is judged by RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Ross Mathews and Carson Kressley.

Background[]

The show is known for having guest judges who are either queer or allies of the queer community as well as highlighting new talents of the drag scene all over the US. The show had expanded to the entire world and is present in over 14 international countries with their own version of the show. The show also counts many spin-offs and specials.

Appearances[]

Season 7[]

Ariana was featured on Episode 6, Season 7 of the show: "Ru-Hollywood Stories" as a guest judge, the episode aired on April 6, 2015. During the lipsync, Grande's hit single Break Free was performed by the Bottom Two drag queens, Jaidynn Diore Fierce & Kandy Ho.

All Stars 2[]

In the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars, the drag queen Tatianna did an impersonation of Grande on Episode 2: "All Stars Snatch Game" which aired on September 1, 2016. However Tatianna was one of the Bottom Three queens.

Season 11[]

During Episode 3: "Diva Worship" which aired on March 14, 2019 one of the contestants, A'keria C. Davenport portrayed an Arianator during the main challenge. Later on the runway, Plastique Tiara rocked Grande's signature platinum wavy ponytail, as RuPaul mentionned.

Season 15[]

On December 14, 2022, Ariana Grande was announced as the guest judge of the season premiere of season 15. Grande was featured as the season 15 two-part premiere episode "One Night Only Part. 1 & 2". She did a surprise entrance in the Werk Room to see the queens of season 15, her entrance look as Drag Race icon Vivacious.

Amethyst and Irene DuBois, the two bottom queens lip synced to Grande's global hit, "7 Rings". Amethyst won the lip sync. Ariana was also featured in the RuPaul's Drag Race after-show, Untucked, where she talked to the queens and shared her experience with them.
