Background

The first snippet was leaked on February 16, 2023. A second snippet leaked on February 18, 2023. The song leaked three days later on February 21, 2023.

Ariana's demo of the song leaked on April 2, 2023, alongside the writer's reference by T-Pain that was also played in a Discord voice call that same night.

On April 6, 2023, the full session was later leaked.

Trivia

• The song was most likely scrapped because it didn't fit the theme Grande was going for on the album, just like most of the unreleased songs that were recorded around that time.
• The song features background vocals from T-Pain's demo.
• This song is a sample interpolation of Salt-N-Pepa's 1990's song "Let's Talk About Sex".
  • Grande's song was most likely scrapped due to the song being used by Cheat Codes that released "Sex" in February 2016, also sampling Salt-N-Pepa's song.
• Grande uses and says the word "sex" 85 times throughout the song and swears 8 times.
• The demo was made in the same session as "Strong Enough" and "On Top Of Everything".
