Background
In August 2017, Grande embarked to Japan for the fourth leg of her Dangerous Woman Tour in support of her third studio album Dangerous Woman and was announced that the album will be released on September 27, 2017 with her greatest hits.[2][3]
Different opinions were given in networks: some praised Grande for release this album despite having a not very wide discography at the time of the release, while others showed their anger at digital platforms due to the fact that the album was not available in countries other than Japan. The physical edition of The Best can be purchased at different online stores like Amazon.

- This is Grande's first greatest hits album.
- This is also her second album exclusively for Japan after The Remix.
