The Eternal Sunshine Tour is the upcoming headlining fourth arena tour by Ariana Grande in support of her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine. It was teased on July 9, 2024, on an episode of the "Shut Up, Evan!" podcast.[1][2] The tour was in the works sometime during the summer of 2024,[3][4] but was later scrapped over "acting feeling like home right now" in Ariana's life.[5][6]
On July 16, 2025, after announcing that she will be participating in the remake of Oh, The Places You'll Go!, Grande teased it's reworking for the following year.[7][8][9][10] It was officially announced on August 28, 2025, with ticket sales beginning September 9, 2025, and is set to begin on June 6, 2026.[11]
Background[]
Following the release of Positions, Grande never went on a tour for the album due to COVID-19. She later went on a hiatus from music and upon her return never announced a tour alongside the release of Eternal Sunshine.[note 1] However, on the "Zach Sang Show" podcast, aired on February 27th, 2024, she noted that she has redefined her relationship with touring and that a tour, if it happens, will focus solely on Eternal Sunshine and will only be announced when it's fully ready.[16][17]

On July 9, 2024, Grande hinted at a mini-tour during her episode on the podcast "Shut Up Evan."[1][2] "I think it’d be a really lovely idea to be able to trickle in some shows in between the two Wicked films," she said.[18] “I think there is a version of that which exists."[19] Grande also hinted that the tour would not be as extensive as previous tours. “It’s definitely, for a multitude of reasons, not going to be a tour in the way I used to tour. It’d be a mini little sampling of shows. I do think it’d be really nice to do that. It’s something that my team and I are working on.”[20]
On July 11, 2024, Grande posted via Instagram story that she has a "temporary pin" on new music and touring,[21][22][23][24][note 2] later clarifying that she meant "soon" wasn't as close as most fans thought.[29][30] Despite this, she released "bundle" versions of "We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)" and "The Boy Is Mine" just over a week later, making it an unclear as to what this "pin" entailed.[31][32] However, later that month on July 25, 2024, while promoting the launch of her perfumes in European Sephora stores, Grande told a fan that touring is still "at the top of [her] list" and is working on it with her team.[3][4]
On August 5, 2024, insiders on the music forum site ATRL stated that Ariana's team had booked multiple stadiums for the summer of 2025, including Las Vegas, Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico City, New York City, Paris, London, Miami, Barcelona, Seoul, and Houston.[33][34] They also noted that her team was planning on other cities and to book a mix of arenas and stadiums. They later deleted the post.[35][note 3] On August 22, 2024, in a private web vocal lesson event she recorded for music students at GrammyU,[38] she said that the Eternal Sunshine era will continue after the release of Wicked: Part One,[39] possibly hinting at the tour once again. The same day, she followed Toby Francis on Instagram, who was the sound engineer on her Sweetener World Tour.[40]
On October 1, 2024, to celebrate the upcoming 7 months of Eternal Sunshine, Grande released a second deluxe version of the album, titled Eternal Sunshine (Slightly Deluxe and also Live).[41] She said that she wanted to leave her fans with one last Eternal Sunshine-related surprise before the release of Wicked in theaters the following month, but Peaches will be returning, possibly hinting that she will appear on tour.[42]
On October 7, 2024, a fan met Grande at New York City and told her that his dream is to be her back-up dancer. Grande replied, saying she would see him at the dance calls for her next tour.[43][44] On November 4, 2024, during the press tour for Wicked in Australia, Ariana was asked if she will be touring the country, to which she responded saying that she and Cynthia Erivo will be "coming back as soon as humanly possible."[45]
On April 11, 2025, the Palacio de los Deportes arena published a story with "No Tears Left To Cry" on their Instagram account, with the next story reading "2026", which is rumored to mean that Ariana Grande might be coming to Mexico City in 2026.[46] On April 24, 2025, Ariana's team confirmed that they will participate in the Spotify X Fan project, which grants top listeners of artists early access to tour tickets.[47]
Postponement[]
On December 15, 2024, Ticketmaster revealed via their mobile app that there are 15 upcoming events for Ariana Grande.[48] Grande's vocal coach Eric Vetro, who previously liked posts theorizing about the existence of Eternal Sunshine, liked an Instagram post about it.[49] Republic Records later replied to a tweet about the events, saying that "there are no plans for a tour next year."[50] Ariana later liked a repost of that statement on Instagram.[51] The following day, in an interview with Variety, she said that she doesn't see the tour "coming anytime soon," and said that she will "be exploring different forms of art."[5][6] A month later, in another interview with Variety on January 11, 2025, she said she will "prioritize acting for now" and wants "to focus on this chapter of storytelling through film."[52]
Renewal[]
On July 16, 2025, Grande teased a reworking of shows for next year via her Instagram reel, stating "I'm working on a plan to sing for you all next year, even if it's just for a little."[7][8] She then reposted an Instagram post of a fan asking what songs people would like to see on the setlist.[9][10]
Confirmation[]
On August 27, 2025, Grande shared the official teaser: a clip of Peaches, with the Brighter Days Ahead system saying "a corrupt file has been found and corrected." It was followed by text of "see you next year..." and "announcement loading". She tagged her music video director Christian Breslauer and Live Nation.[53][54] On August 28, 2025, Grande revealed 27 show dates in the United States, Montreal, and London, and began the presale signup for the tour.[55] Presale began on September 9th for the North America shows and on the 16th for the London show.[11]
On September 9, 2025, 9 new dates were added, one in each of the North America locations.[56][57] The show did not use dynamic pricing,[58] and was priced at $75-$799 per ticket.[59] After over 6 million people queued to purchase tickets,[60] the entire North American leg, along with the added shows, sold out in presale in an hour.[61]
On September 13, Grande adressed the concerns fans had about ticket scalpers, saying "i've been on the phone every second of my free time fighting for a solution. i hear you and hopefully, we will be able to get more of these tickets into your hands instead of theirs."[62] No solution has been offered, and Grande has not addressed the issue since. On September 16, Grande announced the final tour dates, bringing the total number of London shows to ten.[63]

Notes[]
- ↑ As early as January 28, 2024, Ariana's website contained code for a section of tour dates,[12] which is still included as of August 2024, but is not rendered on her site.[13] The code was added to her website sometime in June 2022,[14][15] so it's doubtful that Ariana's team was planning a tour in early 2024, or had originally started planning a tour in 2022 but later scrapped it due to Wicked.
- ↑ Fans theorized that the "pin" announcement came after a copypasta tweet about "cannibalistic activity," commonly shared when a tour is announced by fans who want less demand for tickets, went viral on Twitter and TikTok,[25] causing Frankie Grande to comment about it.[26][27] Ariana never publicly acknowledged the rumors, and it's unclear whether the two events were connected at all, but she later parodied them in a Saturday Night Live song skit titled "Best Friend's House."[28]
- ↑ Other sources claimed that Ariana was planning on touring both during and after the two Wicked movies,[36][37] which is inconsistent with other information.[18]
