The Late Late Show with James Corden (also known as Late Late) is an American late-night talk show on CBS.



After the Manchester Attack in May 2017, Corden recorded a special message to pay hommage to the victims as well as showing love and support to Grande.

The first time Grande appeared on The Late Late Show was in August 2017 as part of Carpool Karaoke: The Series with Seth MacFarlene on Apple Music. During the episode, The musical theater aficionados belt out their favorite show tunes, and Seth shows off his horn skills.[1]

She performed "Suddenly Seymour" from Little Shop of Horrors, "The Song That Goes Like This" "What Is This Feeling?" "Ten Minutes Ago" and "Nothing in Common."[2]


In August 2018, Grande on the show to promote her album Sweetener. She appeared on the Carpool Karaoke segment of the show and performed "Dangerous Woman" "Side To Side" "God Is A Woman" "No Tears Left To Cry" and "Suddenly Seymour".

Soundtrack to Titanic[]

She also joined Corden in remaking the Soundtrack To Titanic with 13 songs in nine sets for a one-shot take.[3]

Escape Room[]

During a segment, the pair went to 60OUT Escape Rooms. By the end of their journey, Grande stated: “I’ve done 300 escape rooms,” she says. “That's not an escape room. That’s one of the seven gates to hell.”[4][5]

In December 2018, she was apart of the holiday mashup of "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" which included musicians that joined James for the Carpool Karaoke segment in 2018.[6]


In February 2019, Ariana came to The Tonight Show. During the episode, James helped her celebrate by surprising her with a cake for the achievement of being the first artist since The Beatles to have a song in the top three spots on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.[7]

She also surprised the TNT Boys and sang "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" with them.[8]


Ariana appeared on the Late Late Show to do a sketch with Corden on June 16, 2021. The skit is a parody of the song "Good Morning Baltimore" from the hit movie and Broadway musical, Hairspray. The parody song is titled "No Lockdowns Anymore" and featured Tony Award winner, Marissa Jaret Winokur. The song talks about the end of quarantine and looks back on some of the moments in quarantine such as Zoom calls.[9]
