"Voodoo Love" is a song by Ariana Grande meant for her debut album, Yours Truly (originally titled Daydreamin'). The official audio of the song, along with the original "Honeymoon Avenue", was released on August 2, 2016 through her SoundCloud account.^[1]

Background

"Voodoo Love" is one of Ariana's first original songs. She released a preview of this song on her Keek on November 8, 2012^[2] and later played the full version on her live chat on November 12, 2012.^[3] However, Ariana did not officially release the song as a single at this time although many fans knew about it. Allan Peter Grigg, Pebe Sebert, and Ariana wrote the song together. Ariana also performed this song in the stage production A Snow White Christmas which had the lead role in.^[4] Ariana sang this song in a live chat in December 2013.^[5]

On November 6, 2015, Ariana posted on Snapchat that she would be releasing the long-awaited studio version of "Voodoo Love" as well as the original version of "Honeymoon Avenue" that same week.^[6] Several days later, Ariana apologizes to fans for the delay because she was still deciding what to do with the song. In February 2016, Ariana shut down rumors that "Voodoo Love" would be on Dangerous Woman but promised she would release it by the end of the year.^[7]
