"Voodoo Love" is an unreleased song preformed by Ariana Grande, that was intended for her debut album Yours Truly (originally titled Daydreamin'). The official audio of the song, along with the original "Honeymoon Avenue", was released on August 2, 2016 through her SoundCloud account.[4] It was originally supposed to be Track 10.[5]
Background
"Voodoo Love" is one of Grande's first original songs. She first teased the song when she posted a video on her YouTube channel on August 15, 2011 with Pebe Sebert & Kool Kojak who both referenced the lyrics while talking about what was left to do with the song.[1] A year later, she released a preview of the song’s background vocals on her Keek page on September 13, 2012.[2] Two months later, she posted another snippet on November 7, 2012.[3] later played the full version on her live chat on November 12, 2012.[6] However, Grande did not officially release the song as a single at this time even though many fans knew about it. Ariana also performed this song in the stage production A Snow White Christmas in which she had the lead role.[7] Ariana sang this song in a live chat in December 2013.[8]
On November 6, 2015, Grande posted on Snapchat that she would be releasing the long-awaited studio version of "Voodoo Love" as well as the original version of "Honeymoon Avenue" that same week.[9] Several days later, Grande apologized to fans for the delay because she was still deciding what to do with the song. In February 2016, Grande shut down rumors that "Voodoo Love" would be on Dangerous Woman but promised she would release it by the end of the year.[10] On August 2, 2016, "Voodoo Love" (along with the "OG Honeymoon Avenue") was released through her SoundCloud account.[11]

Lyrics
[Verse 1]
I wanna mix a potion up
Make a special drink for you
Mmm-mmm
Just a little sip
And you're never gonna know what hit you, yeah
When I'm through
Oh, yeah
[Pre-Chorus 1]
Now I'm not talking bout movies
Don't need no happy end
I just wanna make you love me
And stay through thick and thin
I'm just gonna use some magic
Might feel a little drunk
And if you try to leave me
I'll lock you in my trunk
[Chorus]
I'm gonna witch you
I'll stick a pin right in you
My voodoo's so addicting
Three silver spoons of Brandy Wine
Just a frog and a little thyme and
Baby, you'll be mine
With my voodoo love, aw, yeah
With my voodoo love, aw, yeah
[Verse 2]
Boy, I really knew you were the one
The moment that I saw your eyes
Mmm-mmm
Strong and wise and sweet and quiet
Yeah, you're just my type
Mmm-mmmm
[Pre-Chorus 2]
Now I'm not talking bout movies
Don't need no happy end
I just wanna make you love me
And be my shiny prince
I'm just gonna use some magic
Might feel a little high
But we'll be so enchanted
And you'll feel so alive
[Chorus]
I'm gonna witch you
I'll stick a pin right in you
My voodoo's so addicting
Three silver spoons of Brandy Wine
Just a frog and a little thyme and
Baby, you'll be mine
With my voodoo love, aw, yeah
With my voodoo love, aw, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
[Bridge]
I always get
Just what I want
And boy, I really want you now
So just say yes
Can't second guess the power of my voodoo love
My voodoo love
My voodoo love
My voodoo love
[Outro]
I'm gonna witch you
I'll stick a pin right in you (My voodoo love)
My voodoo's so addicting (My voodoo lo-lo-love)
